Not sure why Dr. Ezell has to make the comment “Give us a call and we’ll put a real man in there.” That was completely unnecessary.

No. 4 is a real problem for me. I am sooo tired of hearing the numbers for CCP-19, doesn’t anybody die of anything else anymore? Driving through Nebraska these past couple days it was good to read how many traffic deaths there have been so far this year.
I’ve said it several times, if it were possible to physically live forever w/o ever dying (before Jesu comes back for His saints) all deaths would be a tragedy, but we will all physically die sometime. Maybe is has to do with our 14 year old adopted son dying, or our first grandchild delivered stillborn. Death is inevitable, why are we so focused on Covid-19? And the future ramifications?
I’m a higher risk for that virus than many others but it doesn’t bother me. What kind of pansy church am I a part of to be worried about something that can kill the body but has no control over my soul?

Although I view #4 a little differently but I understand your issues with COVID-19 deaths. The latter first – part of the morbid fascination with COVID-19/coronavirus is it’s unpredictability: there are indications that having the virus might not provide immunity (you can get it more than once) and other things that don’t follow the “norm” for viral infections. One of the things I did early on, mostly for my sanity, was stopped getting a daily tally of deaths and infections – too overwhelming.

The first part last – outside the coronavirus and all it entails, the new “normal” will not look like the old “normal”, at least for the foreseeable future. The wise leader is one who can proactively sense the temperature and angst of their members and respond accordingly. At least that’s my take.
