If they do not have “Knowledge of first steps” at a minimum, then enter a 0 in the place of that essential factor in the Realville Ministry Model change equation and realize that no change will happen.

(Dissatisfaction x Vision of preferred future x Knowledge of first steps) > Resistance = Change

The research: folk implementing change manage (i.e., diagnose/prognose), lead (i.e., prescribe), AND administer (treat diagnoses with prescription) in such a way that resistance to change occurs, organizational health is restored, and self-sustaining new conditions result. Not easy, but simple.

I would love also practical steps making church members grow spiritually and in their commitment and support to the church.

In this order with each person, focus on: membership, maturity, ministry, and missions (the must-do’s of the New Testament church—that can be developed directly or indirectly [but should be done intentionally] in the lives of all Christians over time).

Again: not easy, but simple. LifeWay has resources and resource people to help.
