The following four statements have the power to stop the important work of revitalization cold in its tracks. Thom and Kevin share stories, and discuss the importance of recognizing these problematic statements and how to address them before it’s too late.

Highlights:

  2. “It’s __________ ‘s fault.”
  3. “This situation is hopeless.”
  4. “This is not a good neighborhood for revitalization.

I would like to know how I can “plug in” to learn more about your consulting work. I retired from active ministry, mostly as a pastor, after 42 years. We took three years off and then started a support work for small churches and new pastors. We have been doing that for the past five years and realized last year that a lot of our time was spent on consulting with former churches we were connected to. Most of them were I the midst of turmoil and declension. Is there a training program you have that my wife and I could learn to do this better? Any help would be appreciated.
