Revitalize & Replant is sponsored by the North American Mission Board and ChurchReplanters.com. More than 10% of churches in North America are at risk of closing and the North American Mission Board is committed to reversing this trend by decreasing the death rate of existing churches while simultaneously increasing the birth rate of new churches. I believe we are entering an exciting phase for the North American church. There seems to be a realization in many local fellowships that the status quo is no longer legitimate.
I served a church as a bi vocational pastor. In my second week I told them the four items we would be dealing with over the next couple of years were revitalize, replant, merge, or close. While my prayers and hope were for revitalization, that was not our path. We ultimately walked down the path of merger with a much healthier fellowship. Once we began the merger talks it was my hope and prayer that the location would remain as a campus of the healthier congregation, but they were not ready to make that move. They have committed to keeping the property and using it in the future.
Our Father has a remarkable way of making things happen. We must be like Abram and follow even if we don’t know the outcome. He’s got this.

I must think that so many churches don’t recognize that they’re in danger of falling from that middle 70 percent or so and landing in that bottom 15, that will soon be failing or gone.
Thanks for all the encouragement you give.
