It is a known fact that we are a moving society. People are ,moving from one community to another. When they move into our community, they will be looking for three things. 1. a new cadre of friends 2. a new school for their children and 3. a new church home for their family. How they are treated at our church will determine whether or not they will become part of our church.
Don’t forget the historic term for sanctuary, worship center, worship space, auditorium etc. – Nave.
In liturgical churches, the Nave is the worship area and the Sanctuary is within that and is the section of the space with the altar (akin to the holy of holies of OT worship).
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share some worthless trivia from my seminary education.
