Four Keys to a Successful Church Year in 2018 – Rainer on Leadership #400

Podcast Episode #400

SUBSCRIBE: iTunes • RSS • Stitcher • TuneIn Radio • Google Play • iHeart Radio

We celebrate our 400th episode by discussing four keys for how churches can be successful in their ministry this year.

Some highlights from today’s episode include:

  • We have mission drift in many of our churches.
  • You cannot make incremental adjustments to become outwardly focused. It must be a major shift.
  • If your church is focused on outreach, it will likely have fewer distractions and arguments about inward issues.
  • The greatest distraction in churches is often disunity.
  • The body of Christ is designed to work together in unity.

The four keys we cover are:

  1. Increase your efforts to reach your community by fourfold.
  2. Focused your congregation to pray John 17:20-23 as an ongoing prayer effort.
  3. Make a concerted effort to abandon the entitlement mentality.
  4. Pray for hearts that would be willing to accept new paradigms.

Here are others ways in which we can make 2018 a great church year:

    1. Worship
    2. Nurture within the Body
    3. Teach God’s Word to all
    4. Engage in mission–local,
    national, global
    5. Practice Biblical stewardship
    6. Spread with joy the Good
    News of the Gospel.
    7. Be a spiritual beacon within
    your community
    8. Dream dreams and see
    God’s vision for your church.

Please pray for the students and faculty/staff of Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky in the wake of the tragic shooting there earlier today. Details of the shooting may be found at https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/01/23/580030733/shooting-at-kentucky-high-school-leaves-2-dead-at-least-12-wounded.
